What’s next for higher education?

How can colleges and universities stay relevant and engaging to students in a post-pandemic world and beyond? These are the questions we had as we took an in-depth look at the future of higher education marketing. Our team has put together our Guide to the Future of Higher Education Marketing. Based on our research and experience over the last six years working in the higher education space, we are sharing where we see industry trends going for this major industry.

Online learning is here to stay.

More than 95% of degree-seekers own at least one laptop or smartphone, and after a year of nearly the whole world going remote, it’s clear that online learning isn’t going away any time soon. It’s important that colleges and universities stay competitive in this landscape as we move forward.

Get creative with recruitment.

In 2020, recruitment efforts were reimagined, with many colleges and universities utilizing virtual strategies to reach prospective students. These strategies aren’t going away. Continue capitalizing on video, including platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, to offer virtual interactions and opportunities for students to ask questions.

Network outside of the box.

It’s important to meet your current and prospective students where they are, and a vast majority are on social media. Maintain an active social media presence where you can highlight campus culture, connect with alumni, and more.
