The Lifespan of News Stories website is a collaboration between Schema, Google News Initiative, Alberto Cairo and Axios. The project visualises the shape of US search interest data for top news stories from 2018. By visualising and analysing the rhythm of news throughout the year, via search interest, patterns emerge that reveal ebbs, flows and spikes in interest based on the type of event.

Exciting visualisation of the rhythm of top news from 2018 in the web. The analysis of search topic results in patterns that illustrate public interests in pictures of ebb, flow and peak. An extremely inspiring initiative by Schema, Google News, Alberto Cairo and Axios.
