This can also be used to check the headers of an email using Google’s free tool which is called Google Header Analyzer. This will tell you how long an email has spent in a given location and see the journey the email has taken from one mail transfer agent to the next and the time spent at each one.  This allows a greater understanding as to why an email is delayed or response is slow.
