Earlier this month, GM released a new logo that’s gained them much acclaim—and criticism. Using a lowercase font, rounded edges and a color gradient of vibrant blue tones, the new look was designed to be more inclusive and evoke the clean skies of a “zero-emissions future” the brand is now working towards. While a noble ambition for the classic brand, critics of the rebrand think GM is ditching a century of history, brand trust, innovation and a logo associated with strong customer loyalty in favor of looking more hip and cool.
