Say hello to our head of the #creative team: Marie! ✨

Since 2019, Marie has been in charge of creating the visuals. Surprisingly though, she didn’t study a graphic course, but she majored in fashion👗 Because of this, she had a tough journey to be a #graphicdesigner since she didn’t have any foundation and had to learn it on her own. So her #tip for future graphic designers is to collect a lot of interesting designs and try recreating them. This will give you a foundation as well as provide you with an inspiration library for future use. Don’t only search on the internet, but also look offline for some good inspirations. Be #inspired by everything around you! 🖼️

Now how did she end up working for #CommaEntertainment? As a graphic designer she wanted to work at a #marketingagency, but more specifically one that also creates festivals and other #events. This is one of the reasons she likes working here, because we don’t focus on only one aspect of marketing. We give her enough challenges and variation of work so she can continue to grow and learn. She especially loves to make new branding design projects. The favorite part of her job is finding a solution with limited tools or knowledge. She loves the moment she just found a new creative way to solve something. 

Now it’s time for some fun facts about Marie!
👩‍🎓 She would advise her younger self to study more and get one more diploma. Don’t stop!
🐈 Her motivation to wake up in the morning is to feed her lovely (chubby) cat Yang! 
🙏 Her daily ritual is to pray 4 times a day. She has done this for the past 8 years! 😮 The name Marie really suits her!
💒 If she could be in any movie or book she would choose “Pride and Prejudice” of Jane Austin. She loves the style of that age of romance! 
💫 And lastly, she is really good at… spacing out!

“I think what you need is about 95% courage, and having a good plan can only be about 5%”

People tend to think that they need a lot more courage to become an entrepreneur compared to being an employee, but it’s not completely like that. However, this is a different story if the business you want to start requires a big capital amount from the beginning. But that is not always necessary. If you look at some top-rated start-up companies, a lot of them started with just one laptop and grew their business from there, look at Apple for example. 

So if you have a good business concept without the need of a big investment, just go for it!

We’re back with another introduction! Time to meet Nana 🎉

Nana started working for #CommaEntertainment in February 2020 as our HR and accounting manager taking care of accounting, personnel, management support and general affairs. 

#hr is needed everywhere so why did she chose Comma? The same reason as most of the others; for the #people! While applying for the job back in 2020, she already noticed she would like it here during her first interview. She thought to herself “This is a place where I can enjoy working and am surrounded by good people”. On her way to work she never thinks or feels that she doesn’t want to go because every day is fun! 👯

Besides having fun with her colleagues, Nana is a real people’s person. The most fun part about her job is that she can #communicate with a lot of people. Even her studies reflect that because she majored in tourism management. 

Now are you ready for some fun facts? 🥳
☕Nana’s daily ritual is weighing herself and drinking a good cup of coffee to start the day. 
🥓If she could eat any meal for the rest of her life, it would be the famous Korean barbecued pork belly. If tried it before then you understand why!
And to follow up on this: she is really good at… eating!
📘Last one: if she could be in a book or movie she would choose a self-development book because just like she received help from it, she hopes she would be able to help other people through her story as well. Unexpected answer but very touching!

A big advantage of working in the #advertising industry is that you will never get bored. There is always a new idea or new concept to work on.

However, this also means that the work doesn’t get easier. There isn’t always a set daily routine because there is always a new job to finish and new research to do.
