What is experiential spaces? Essentially, experiential spaces prioritizes human interaction with a built environment. In a commercial context, this means strategically using design elements to elicit an emotional connection to a brand and immerse occupants in a narrative. Today, creating an experience is more important than ever before. In its 2017 Experience Index, Gensler notes that “the human experience must be the driving force behind every element of a space––from the design of physical space to the qualities of interaction, expectation, and intention.” In practice, this can take many different forms, but above all, engagement and emotional connection are the foundation of experiential design. Over 60 million Nigerians between the age of 18 to 40 years spend ~$5.5 million on Esport daily in Nigeria. Many brands are already getting in on the ground floor The number of non-gaming brands entering esports is growing, with 310 esports deals signed last year — a third more than 2018’s number. Non-gaming brands now represent 63% of all esports deals. But is there any room left for your brand? Esports marketing strongly resembles traditional-sports marketing: brands can connect with fans’ bonds with leagues and teams. Employing user stories in marketing So how do we go about translating the idea of user stories for marketing campaign tasks? We use the user story format to better understand why we’re doing the thing we’re about to do. Think of the activities involved in your next campaign and their KPIs. Make a list of those at a high level. 1. Email campaign — 3 touch points, 3 audience segments 2. Social posts 3. Landing page with sign up form 4. Paid search campaign to landing page 5. Outbound sales campaign Writing a user story is easy. Writing a great one is not. User stories have nuance and although they should leave room for exploration, you don’t want there to be a ton of room for misinterpretation.
