As mentioned several weeks ago, we will shine the spotlight on a member of this community at various intervals. It will be our opportunity to learn a little more about our colleagues and the great things they are doing across the SSA region. Today, we are celebrating Digivate 360's trainer, Freeborn Jerry . He has been a digital skills trainer for 5 years and has impacted well over 5,000 young people across Nigeria. Jerry is a Meta Certified Creative Strategy Professional, Media Planning Professional, and Media Buying Professional. He has also been an active member of this community since September 9, 2021. I am a bit late with this, I know, but please kindly understand. I have been pretty tied up lately, so please forgive me if I owe you correspondence. It isn't intentional at all. The other day I saw missed calls, and later a mail with the same name recorded from truecaller. On returning the call I got a mouth watering offer from a global brand. Much as the position is somewhat remote, it needed me moving to VI lagos. The gross salary is a couple of bucks away from a milli, tempting right? But for me it isn't just about the bucks, but the opportunities and challenges that could refine one's upward mobility in tech. Now one of the key things that got me sharing this story is, the skillset needed to deliver on this job is strictly away from the conventional. Being a Meta Media planner and Meta Media buyer, Meta Certified Digital Marketing associate, and also a Meta Lead trainer is enough to grasp it. Fortunately I have all these.... Now, since I received their authorisation to recommend someone else, because my condition wasn't suitable for them.
