"Innovate or die" - Robert Iger. One of the most influential books I've read, The Ride of a Lifetime, is a biography of Bob Iger, former CEO of Disney. In this book he retells his journey from working as an assistant at ABC, all the way to becaming one of the most powerful businessmen in the world. One of the most frequent themes in the book, was business innovation. As a CEO, Bob Iger, was always in the lookout for innovate technologies and ways he could further grow the company, adapting to the always changing world. For example, he was one of the early adopters of video streaming, when he realized the impact Netflix was having, he decided to heavily invest in transitioning into this industry, thus Disney + was born. He was also in charge of the acquisition of Pixar, Marvel, ESPN, among other companies. Some businesses are reluctant to change and keep operating on outdated philosophies and methodologies. Many, with the pandemic, where forced to transition to the digital to be able to stay afloat, soon realizing the importance that is technology in today's business climate.
