What’s on at Halo? Here are some Halo “behind the scenes” of conducting a brand audit and video/image assets shoot at a mine in Simandou, Guinea last week.
 
Our crew have had some pretty incredible experiences visiting mines in both remote and urban areas to provide insightful brand audits, breath-taking imagery and interactive aerial tours.
 
It’s tough work – the variables involved include political instability, unpredictable weather, language and cultural sensitivities and working in 35ºC heat! But the team thrive on it, and past projects have had feedback like “these are the best images we’ve ever had of our mine”.
 
The result is that the mining companies have a beautiful image and video library (e.g. for Sustainability reports or corporate videos), 360 interactive tours which are brilliant for activities like induction, and brand audits which allow world-class brands to keep them … well, world-class!

1. Be clear about your positioning in the marketplace; who your target market is and the tone of your company. This is relevant for the style of how your logo will be designed.

2. Understand that your logo needs to be scalable – it needs to be able to go small for e.g. website advertising or large, eg. a billboard.

3 Quick tips for designing graphics for your educational programme:
1 . Come up with a theme design which is clean and uncluttered.
2. Carry it through consistently across all material (PowerPoints, PDFS, e-Learning course or website) – don't be tempted to change it throughout.
3. Do the "head tilt test" – if your head tilts when you look at it, it may mean something is unclear and you need to revisit your content.
