Wanted: Leonardo da Vinci. We’re looking for a junior designer with 1-2 years of experience. A Renaissance (wo)man. An inventor. A polymath. Someone who, when not busy exhibiting considerable graphic design skills and mastery of typography, likes to conceptualize elaborate flying machines. Someone who had this whole digital thing figured out 500 years ago. If you have an enormous beard, painted the Mona Lisa and aren’t put off by elaborate, overwrought metaphors, please send your resume and work samples to iwantajob@huntadkins.com!

Today, we celebrate #Juneteenth as a National Holiday for the first time––and among many others, we have Opal Lee, the grandmother of Juneteenth, to thank. A 94-year-old activist who grew-up joyfully celebrating Juneteenth with her community in her home state of Texas, Lee has worked tirelessly to get the holiday recognized on a national level. In 2016, Lee and her team organized an online petition and pledged to walk the 1,400 miles from Texas to DC to help spread awareness about the Juneteenth movement. As we celebrate this victory, we honor those who led this movement and acknowledge that our work to end systemic racism still continues. Happy Juneteenth!
