In the wake of COVID-10 wreaking havoc on our small businesses, fears of economic downturns are often heightened. The newly released research by Marketix wants the construction industry to be aware of search data trends and feel more positive about the overall construction industry outlook. This data allows users to look at individual tradie search data and compare it to a 6-week period (since lockdowns commenced), and a 12-month view to determining how consumers are searching for Tradies. For example, Bricklayers have now seen a 222% increase in searches across Australia; and Landscapers have seen a 10% decline over a 6-week period. Compared to 12 months ago, Fencing has seen a 52% increase whereas Boilermakers have seen a 33% decrease in consumer search.
