I've been quiet lately across social channels about my work with MediaTech Ventures, although I certainly haven’t slacked on People for Liberty updates (lol) This is largely due to the massive amount of work we've been doing behind the scenes and I just wanted to take a moment to share how grateful I am to work along side such talented and passionate individuals.

When SXSW cancelled last year, like many of our friends and colleagues the #MediaTech team was devastated and didn't know what to do. They had spent the last 6 months planning the Funded House event and preparing for what was going to be an incredible launch pad for us and our friends in the community. 

Instead of focusing on what was lost last March, they set their sights on people that needed help and, with a group of incredible people outside of our organization, doubled down to build Rally Austin in a couple days to help those in need. They managed to help host multiple events, raise awareness, find resources, and bring attention to what mattered - our community. 

It wasn't until June/July until we as a company had a chance to reset and realign on 2020 priorities and game plan.. If you've ever owned/operated a company, replanning your year half way through after a massive loss in Q1 + Q2 is probably one of the most stressful things to do, ugh! 

Regardless... We pushed forward. With a new plan to finish the year strong. 🚀

Doubling down and moving everything digital, we crushed the rest of the year...

- Our top revenue earning year to date 📈
- Growth of over 180%  🔥
- Brought on new team members (me!) 🙋🏻‍♀️
- Launched and graduated the 3rd Collective Cohort 🤘
- Launched our community platform at https://mediatech.ventures (Join up & make your profile!) 

Realizing the world needed to continue connecting startup communities globally, we ended up partnering with PROCOLOMBIA in the fall and hosted the very first "International Incubator" cohort, helping international organizations learn, connect, and expand in the US market. 

We're now providing programs for #Colombia, Italian Trade Agency - Chicago, #Korea, and in talks with many other countries.

ALL OF THIS TO SAY - We are honored and humbled to show the world this evening 12 incredible startups from KOREA. We've partnered with Bisang Global + #KOTRA to shine a light on the incredible innovation happening in Korea. 

We've been coaching and mentoring these startups the past few days. HUGE thank you to the mentors for spending time with the startups. Some great screenshots of y’all in the photos!

Brooke Dority to increase the impact and skills of those who serve our Nation's veterans.
