Back in March of 2020, Chef Andrew Zimmern and the crew of Family Dinner joined us at the shop and at our home. So much has changed since then. Our family has grown (again) and we now have three more babies to love- Saverio, Cecilia and baby Joseph. Days after filming the world was shaken to the core by Covid 19. Almost two years later and the world is still quarantining, masking, and doing our best to stay safe. The one thing that has not changed is our love of family. The core of our home is the dining table. Each week we still gather together for our family dinner. On Mondays and some Thursdays all 18 of us gather to share a meal, but more importantly, we gather as a family to talk about our week, figure out what's inside Michael's mystery bag at school, and just sit back and watch the cousins play together! We are so blessed to have this family tradition! It was a pleasure to have Chef Zimmern join us for one of our very special meals- Mom's sauce and her memories are always shared around our table! And whilst he took part in lots of rides, it was this show that grabbed his attention the most. ⠀ So much so that he just started joining in, doing his best to process the instructions, and copy them as well as he could. And you can tell when he got to meet Woody at the end just how much fun he’d had 😊 ⠀ One of the qualities that impresses me the most about Tommy is he couldn’t care less what other people think. He’s not self-conscious in the slightest, and doesn’t care what society thinks about what’s age appropriate or not. ⠀ He lives in the moment, his sole focus being to have the best time he possibly can. And today he definitely did. ⠀ If you find something you enjoy, give it your all, dance like nobody’s watching. ⠀ A life lesson we could all learn from, I know I certainly could ❤️ ⠀ #autism #learningdisabilities #adhdparenting #autismlove #autismfamily
