Embedding videos in your website’s pages and blog posts is a great way to boost your SEO 🚀. Video content can: ⏱️ Increase dwell time 📉 Decrease bounce rates 🖱️ Improve click-through-rates 📈 Rank you for more keywords 🦄 Be your source for unique, original content 🧲 Be more memorable, shareable, and linkable These factors all impact what Google’s mystical algorithm thinks of your site - either directly or indirectly. So how do you squeeze the most SEO juice out of your website’s videos? 1. Include appropriate keywords in your video’s title and description. Google needs to know what your video is about in the first place. 2. Embed an expandable transcript of your video. Most users will skip right over this section, but it will give Google even more context. 3. Add chapter titles to your video’s sections. Again, this creates more context. PLUS, it helps viewers find what the information they need easily. Happy viewers = happy Google. 4. Put your video is above the fold, but DON’T enable autoplay. Most users like watching videos, but many still prefer reading content instead. 5. Optimize for loading speed. Adding a video to an already heavy website can slow down its load speed significantly. You can insert a ‘Play’ button that activates a floating video player instead of directly embedding it. Or, if your site needs to have the video embedded, add lazy-load code to only load what’s actually visible on-screen. Check out the full article on our blog: https://bit.ly/3nGoMX7

Your competitors have explainer videos. Your competitors have product demo videos. You know you need videos too. But you only have so much video budget. Which video is going to be best to market your SaaS product? What should you include in each? Should you make a demo/explainer hybrid? In-house or agency? Our (very annoying) answer is: It depends. Every case is unique so, it’s tough to diagnose without an in-depth analysis. But we can give some general guidelines: → Focus more on informative, emotional and entertaining explainer videos at the top of the funnel → As you move down the funnel, include more specifics and demos of your actual SaaS product → Use cheap screen recording software like Loom or Vidyard to demo your highest value uses and interfaces See the full breakdown in the link in the comments

Do your target clients really need to be walked through that obscure feature of your product? Or do you just have to show them your product will give them: → More time → More status → More money → Better relationships → Better health Most marketing gurus today will tell you that these outcomes are all that matters. We’re here to tell you they’re wrong. It’s not that there’s no place for benefits-focused marketing. It’s that B2B clients are smart, skilled professionals. They know that the proof is in the concrete pudding, not in vague claims. They need to know: 1. Your SaaS product actually solves the problem they’re facing, and 2. They can integrate your solution into their current workflows You’re leaving lots of money on the table if all your video marketing is aimed at just showing off the aesthetics of your product and all your happy customers drinking mai tais at the beach. Instead, a good SaaS marketing campaign will take the time to develop BOFU tutorials and screencasts - content that actually helps prospects make a buying decsion.
