Following a flood at our home in January, our insurer contracted Abbey to restore our furniture. Too many good people to list, the company as a whole provide the most excellent service and customer care that is beyond reproach and most importantly the restoration of our furniture has been completed to a very high standard. No moans or gripes about how heavy or awkward the furniture is to move around and such special care taken in the process. Special thanks to Lee Cannings who is extremely knowledgeable, for going way above and beyond to make sure our furniture came back as good as new! He always arrives with a smile on his face no matter what time or how hard his day has been; and of course Lisa Cannings for her efficiency in organising everything. I would give 6 stars if it were possible! Thank you all very much!

We had several large pieces of heavy pine wood furniture painted a cream, the furniture now has a completely new fresh look and has been done so well you would never know they were not that finish in the first place! I have used Abbey Antiques on more than one occasion. Firstly, I asked Lisa if she could restore my Nan's dressing table. She has long since passed away, but I could not bear to part with it. Lisa advised me that it was furniture from the war time and so had to be sanded by hand as machinery would probably break it. Obviously, it didn't have any great value, but to me it was priceless. That was about three years ago, and I still wake up every morning and look at it as I absolutely love it. I also had another precious piece of furniture which was a piano given to me by my other Nan on my dad's side. It had a mahogany finish and I wanted it black to match my living room. Again, Abbey did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend them. Lisa and her brother are so helpful, and I would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you, Abbey five stars, from me.

Well Lisa, Lee and their excellent team have just finished a complete renovation of the dust filled furniture of our London flat, including a chandelier. On looking at their rave reviews I cannot improve upon what has been said by all who have had the good fortune to come into contact with them.But what I would say is that they are usually involved when 'we' have a tragedy of some kind and for me they were a breath of fresh air compared to dealing with insurance companies and loss adjusters and their managing agents, just for someone to understand the angst felt and offer common sense proposals, reassurance and more importantly do what they say they are going to do, keeping you always in the picture ..... for me pure proffessionalism with the human touch. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic work done on furniture which had been damaged during a recent move. Especially on an ancient mirror and our daughter's piano for which the repair work was difficult and absolutely perfectly done. Looked as if nothing happened at all. Staff was very friendly and wonderful in taking care of the difficult move of the piano in and out of our house, something they managed better then professional piano movers we had hired previously. Highly recommended!

I was delighted with the service that Abbey offered and delivered. We were kept informed of progress throughout the £5,600 assignment and I am very pleased with the workmanship that has been applied. Our pieces were collected exactly at the sgreed hour and were also returned at the precise time agreed, the return date being critical as the furniture had to be in use the next day. After a flood at my mother's house Abbey collected the dining room table and 8 chairs and a dresser that had got water damage. They have just brought them back and they are as good as new. The chairs were newly upholstered and everything looks wonderful. A very professional service by lovely helpful people. Would highly recommend them.

Abbey Group revitalised an old stool for my daughter's room with plush velvet to match the decor. It is both beautiful and comfortable. They also made new sofa cushions. Abbey undertook some general restorative treatment work on the sixteenth century oak panelling in my dining and sitting rooms. They were very competent, tidy and friendly whilst on site and did a wonderful job on the panelling; minimising old scuff marks and restoring a lovely subtle glow to the wood. It continues to looks wonderful - an excellent job at a reasonable price. Definitely recommended!

Would ALWAYS recommend the Abby group. My mum had a table hand made a few years ago and it was so bad the colour was all wrong. the guy coloured over it but she was never really happy with the final result! Then Lisa and her great team came to the rescue and completely stripped all the old paint (which was peeling off as wasn't replied correctly) and then sanded it and repainted it just how my mum always wanted it done. Everyone in the company were lovely and thanks again to Lisa and all her staff for an amazing job well done

I recently used the Abbey Group for a corner unit that was my mum’s and housed all her crystal figurines. She recently passed so I really wanted to keep it and look after it, but there was a deep scratch at the bottom, probably hoover related. I have seen other reviews and went to school with Lisa, so they were first port of call. I was out when it was picked up. But a week later Lee came and dropped it off and we were amazed by how good it looked, would never know the mark was there! Lee and everyone are always so happy and jolly.
