Why Do You Need A Social Media Marketing Strategy? Why do you need a social media marketing strategy? Why do you need a social media marketing strategy? In 2021, this is a question that is vaguely answered. The reality is, the digital marketing landscape has changed and is shifting towards social media. There are several benefits to having a social media marketing strategy, but first, let's look at some statistics that reflect the true power of social media marketing: Currently, over 3 billion people are on social media as users.  Facebook is the most widely used platform with over 2 billion active monthly users.  The average user spends 2 hours a day on social media  These numbers on the surface seem big, however; they only paint part of a picture as to the true power of social media marketing and why it’s important to have a social media marketing strategy.  Oftentimes, however, we find a lot of business owners are using social media with no goal or plan. Two reasons why we see business owners using social media with no goal or plan are:   1) Short term ROI  2) Saving money  Here’s what we mean:  Short Term ROI: A lot of small to medium-sized businesses live in the world of short-term ROI. This is not by choice, it’s by being forced to. Small to medium-sized businesses are constantly focused on making the most amount of money in the least amount of time possible.

Traditional Media vs. Social Media For Marketing. Which is Best For You as a Business Owner? Ok, ok traditional media is not completely dead, nonetheless, the marketing landscape has changed dramatically since the transition from traditional marketing to digital media. For many business owners, the scope of digital marketing moves so quickly it is almost impossible to keep up with the latest trends daily. This does not even begin the conversation about software that is being used and automation for trends such as email marketing. So, with digital marketing being at the forefront of every marketing budget, where does traditional media play a role? What is traditional media? It is safe to say that traditional media is dead. Why do we think this? Well first, let us define what we mean by traditional media. Traditional media is any mass form of communication before digital and social media came along. Think of examples like the television, radio, books, newspapers, and magazines. Sure, some of these are still active and used but think about how often you read a magazine, newspaper, or even listen to the radio? So why do we think these forms of media are dead? A few reasons. The first reason is that currently, with the rise of new media (digital media) the newspaper industry is facing what many analysts speculate is the worst budgetary crisis since the great depression. The reason for this speculation is backed by a few figures: Low advertising revenuesChan

Video Marketing 101 – How Long Should Your Videos Be? Whether you’re a digital marketing expert or a regular consumer that likes to indulge in binge-watching aesthetically pleasing videos into the wee hours of the night, video content has gradually taken its place as the king of digital content. From the plethora and movies on Netflix to Instagram’s IGTV and Tik Tok, videos are becoming ubiquitous across the major social media platforms. Easy to consume and with high entertainment value, videos have become the preferred way of content consumption among consumers and digital marketers alike, especially as they get more engagement than text and image content combined. On a trajectory of growth With the exponential growth and popularity of apps like Vine, Musical.ly, and not Tik Tok, it’s pretty clear that this trend is going to continue being relevant. In fact, a Cisco report published in 2019 suggested that 82% of the global online traffic by 2022 will come from videos. With considerable influence on consumer and target audience behavior, we can see why marketers at a digital marketing agency would flock to integrating videos in their digital marketing strategies. Decreasing attention spans and video marketing However, one of the things that come as a challenge is the length of the videos. The abundance of content available online and its rapid consumption, while great for grabbing people’s attention, is also the cause of dwindling attention spans

The Evolution of Lead Generation and Trends to Look Forward to in 2021 While we’re still waiting for Back-to-the-Future style hoverboards and the Jetsons’-inspired jetpacks to come to life, there are other wondrous digital tech advancements that have made our lives easier. If you simply look at the last decade, both subtle and major changes in how companies approach digital marketing, various trends surfaced and washed away with few sticking around for longer e.g. automation. The year 2020 was one of the most disruptive years in the world of digital marketing. With the pandemic still going on, different business aspects are being affected and will likely change for the coming years – even lead generation. With many companies working from home and adjusting to remote work, people were logging in more hours spent online. However, on the other hand, people also become more selective in the type of content they consume and filtering out ads as background noise. This meant that marketers and sales teams had to figure out how to best target prospective clients/customers and then nurture them into qualified leads that rake in money for the company. Gone are the days where B2B companies would generate leads by cold calling a thousand people that presented a slight overlap with their buyer personas. Today, lead generation has become a calculated game of hyper-targeted strategies that try to engage people with personalized offers. This and other lead generatio
