I won’t lie. I wish I was there today celebrating the lunar New Year just like the rest of the Hong Kong based team members. Instead I’m here in Melbourne enjoying the festivities from afar. The last 2 years have been tough for so many of our clients but we are hoping the year of the Tiger brings you all good health, lots of happy times and prosperity too. Anyone have a tween child that was blown away by @gucci’s virtual garden party within @roblox last May? I do. Admittedly I was pretty impressed when they showed me too. The Gucci team pulled out all the bells and whistles and pushed the boundaries of what could be done in Roblox as part of the collab. They created a space that defies physics and hooks pre-teen children into loving the Gucci brand before they’ve even reached puberty. It may seem like a crazy idea to those of us over 30, but it was actually a pretty clever strategy for both Roblox and Gucci to start building brand affinity and a relationship with the next generation. An opportunity for new young Gucci fans to express themselves and immerse themselves in the brand. Of course, other brands have also collaborated with roblox including @ralphlauren and @twentyonepilots and @intheheightsmovie These types of partnerships highlight the importance of creativity, strategic partnerships and brand building. Whilst building a luxury brand within one of the metaverse’ most popular games might currently be out of reach for many brands, they can still engage audiences with partnerships and the next best thing - video. #brand #strategy #metaverse

We can't wait for you to meet, Brooke Croft! She's Kindred Agency Limited's new Digital and Social Media Strategist based in Sydney. Of course, she is an experienced marketer who's worked across a range of industries including government, not-for-profit, public relations, consumer goods and real estate. In her down time, she loves nothing more than spending time with her family and friends, getting outside in nature and *brunching* as much as possible. What do we look for when hiring new people? [in addition to grit and experience of course] Curiosity and empathy. And a balanced approach to long term planning and short term 'doing'. Afterall, being a good marketer is really about all of those things whilst learning and adapting. But we also know... Great implementation is where the *magic* happens. In addition to Brooke's communications and strategic planning skills, she knows how to achieve results in digital & social media, content creation, and community engagement. And she's now working on a couple of interesting and challenging new client projects with Glanbia, Property Ducks IHG Hotels & Resorts and more. So what makes us most excited about Brooke joining us? She is calm and measured, yet her passion is obvious from the moment you meet her. She has easily slotted into the team and it feels like she's been around a lot longer. It may sound cheesy, but when looking around at our fellow Kindred Agency Limited team members, sometimes we have to pinch myself. Not sure how we have managed to score so many good people, but I guess fabulous marketers attract fabulous marketers?

Today our Founder Fiona Cubitt co-facilitated a Customer Journey Mapping Learnshop (hybrid learning and workshop session) with one of Australia's leading supermarkets Coles Group together with Arktic Fox Director/Founder Teresa Sperti (GAICD). Thanks to the Coles Group team for their input today. It was a really fun session.
