Unfortunately, the owner passed away so we held this and other items for over a year before working with the Nieces and Nephews to restore this and other key items which now have pride of place within the family’s home to cherish their aunties memories.

This Grandfather chair had suffered significant fire and water damage, there was lots to do before we could return this highly sentimental piece to its owners so it could be enjoyed by a whole new generation.

As you can see, this chair was lovingly restored by our team who lightly sanded it by hand, stained, waxed, polished and hand finished in order to return it to its original quality finish.

Over 30 antiques and heirlooms suffered serious damage due to a fire, it took great care and professional expertise across a wide range of skills and crafts to save all these items.

Soot and smoke can eat away at your furniture and specialist solutions need to be used to clean and prevent further damage to these precious possessions. In many fire damage cases, additional damage is caused by water and chemicals used to extinguish the fire.
