Killer CreativeLong standing client @wateraid approached us to help develop a new virtual cycling challenge to reach a new audience. We focused on casual but serious cyclists and everything was tailored to this audience, from the creative to the platform we used. An elevation challenge gave us a point of difference as we set a distance based on Kilimanjaro - where WaterAid help communities impacted by climate change. CLIMB-IT was born! @Strava is commonly used amongst cyclists so we selected a Strava Challenge as the primary platform for both the activity and acquisition. We created a fresh and dynamic creative campaign, sharing engaging content on the WaterAid Strava club to drive sign ups. We were 'wheelie' happy with the high level of engagement. 106k cyclists signed up for the challenge, there was lots of peer support through ‘kudos’, and the WaterAid Strava club increased by 700% (creating a solid database for future events).
