A virtual event success story with one of our fabulous clients, Samaritans! After working together in 2019 to create a brand new fundraising product - Samarathon - we partnered again in 2020 to optimise on the events’ success and develop it for year 2. We first carried out a strategic review and looked at ways we could take the product to the next level. We also refreshed the creative, which was crucial considering the event was to take place during a global pandemic and needed to be flexible. A carefully considered media plan and supporter journey was also key to ensuring that year 2 performed even better than the pilot. Killer managed the paid media campaign throughout, with daily optimisation to ensure high performance and ROI. There was some concern that COVID-19 would hinder performance, but the campaign far exceeded our expectations, attracting 3,674 sign ups and raising a massive £542,752!
